Toward richer communication

Q　What was your motivation for joining the program, and what about the program appeals to you?

I applied to this program because I wanted to learn a wide range of ideas and values through interaction with students from other graduate schools. I feel that the most attractive point of this program is that I can work together with diverse students in a highly independent curriculum that includes fusion research and symposium management.

Q　What is your expertise and who do you want to develop it with the program?

I am a researcher specializing in robot dialogue systems. And I would like to develop a dialogue system that makes it easier for even people who are not good talkers to talk. Through this program, I would like to develop more effective dialogue systems by rethinking communication from the viewpoints of life science and brain science.

Q　What are your future dreams and goals?

It is to realize remote communication that is equal to or easier to talk with than face-to-face communication. We believe that the realization of rich remote communication will lead to a more affluent society, including globalization and the correction of regional disparities.
