Q　What was your motivation for joining the program, and what about the program appeals to you?

Before entering graduate school, I worked at a startup company with the aim of supporting researchers. To gain a deeper understanding of the realities and challenges faced by researchers, I came to believe that it was important for me to first deepen my own knowledge as a researcher. This realization led me to pursue further education and enroll in graduate school. As I engaged in research activities, my desire to connect with more researchers and collaborate with those outside my own field grew stronger, prompting me to apply for this program.
I believe the most appealing aspect of the Humanware Innovation Program is the multitude of opportunities it offers to challenge oneself while collaborating with outstanding peers. Having experienced both undergraduate life and working world, I truly appreciate the presence of individuals who can share their lofty aspirations and ambitions. I feel that this program brings together such like-minded individuals, and I encourage those seeking an exciting graduate school experience to consider applying to the program.

Q　What is your expertise and who do you want to develop it with the program?

My area of expertise lies in the field of Human-Agent Interaction, where I research the social interactions with agents that can make decisions and take actions on their own. Currently, I am affiliated with a collaborative research laboratory with CyberAgent, Inc., and I am particularly interested in the societal implementation of robots and CG agents. Additionally, during my undergraduate years, I took a two-year leave of absence to work as a web engineer at a startup company, giving me experience in designing, developing, and operating information systems. In this program, I aim to broaden my perspective by collaborating with a diverse group of people to drive research and projects. I want to break free from the constraints of my past experiences and contribute to creating research and technologies that will be essential for the future society.

Q　What are your future dreams and goals?

In order to become the kind of talent that fosters innovation in society, I want to constantly reinvent myself and embrace challenges with curiosity, persistence, flexibility, optimism, and risk-taking, never forgetting these qualities.
