I want to stand at the forefront of research and break through the frontiers of bioscience.

Q: What were your motivations for joining the program?

I am deeply interested in research into biosciences. However, this research field is still largely unexplored. I feel that the mysteries of biology can be solved if we apply the discipline of information science to it, and that is why I decided to join this program. I also look forward to exploring new ways of thinking about living things.

Q: What are your future dreams and goals?

I want to contribute to society by solving the mysteries of the inner workings of living things. I want to take a leading position at the forefront of research to break through the frontiers of bioscience. While I have yet to decide on a specific career path or direction, I think this program will help me find my calling.

Q: What about the program appeals to you?

Being able to meet and interact with so many different kinds of people. Participants have diverse academic backgrounds, and their personalities and views vary as well. These differences promote a wide variety of discussions. My professors here also have a different approach from those in my previous studies, as they don’t focus on a single field of research, but often take an integrated viewpoint combining several fields. This is a valuable experience that will surely benefit my research.

Q: What are your impressions and thoughts about the program?

There is a very close-knit community among students and professors alike. The professors always try their best to take our suggestions and requests into account and help us realize the kinds of research we would like to carry out.
