I hope my research can contribute to society

Q　What was your motivation for joining the program, and what about the program appeals to you?

This project has excellent human resources in various fields. I am very honored to be able to
communicate and research with these people. In the process of getting along with good people, we will learn from each other’s strengths and improve further. I am also interested in other fields. Computer science is not as basic as mathematics, but it is also a basic discipline that provides tools to other disciplines. By collaborating with researchers in other fields and applying that knowledge to actual problems, I can realize my own value. I think this makes a lot of sense.

Q　What is your expertise and how do you want to develop it with the program?

I am studying computer science and am good at this. Therefore, I can build algorithms to process various data and draw scientific conclusions through the knowledge of computer science and mathematics. At the same time, the algorithm can be further optimized so that the program completes its calculations the fastest. Therefore, I will use this knowledge to collaborate with researchers in other disciplines as well. Through data provided by researchers in other fields, we propose algorithms suitable for analysis and draw more scientific and rational conclusions.

Q　What are your future dreams and goals?

Simply put, my dream is to come up with algorithms that can change the world. Take a recent example, the convolutional layer is a very successful example in fusion research. The convolutional layer is an algorithm created based on the biological knowledge of the human visual nerve and the realization of the algorithm through the knowledge of computer science. This algorithm is now active in various fields and has made great contributions to human society. If such research can be done in this project, my dream will probably be realized.
