Discover new value of human through research on robotics

Q What was your motivation for joining the program, and what about the program appeals to you?

In the process of my graduation research, I recognize the knowledge and solution of other fileds of research is essential to expand my own research. On robotics research, for example, architecture of robot is designed inspired by brain and body of human or animal. I want to acquire the knowledge of other fields. In addition, to think with other researchers who have expert knowledge, I expect to find a new availability on research.

Q What is your expertise and how do you want to develop it with the program?

My expertise is the research of the use of mobile robot. I research how to implement the natural movement between human and robots, just like when people walk with each other. On the experiment by mobile robot, machine troubles often happen, and experiment don’t go well. But I’m proud of my ability to preserve in the face of such problems. I want to use this ability for this program.

Q What are your future dreams and goals?

From now on, our life will be more convenient with robots and IT technology, and work will be automated. In such an era, I would like to find the meaning and value of human work and human service to others. For the purpose, I personally want to contribute to the development of practical robots.
