Q: What was your motivation for joining the program?

Today’s technologies have become so complex that every research area is multi-disciplinary. This program provides a very good platform for us to conduct research under the interdisciplinary concept. Besides, the financial aid and research supports in this program are valuable to student like me to be able to focus on my own research.

Q: What about the program appeals to you?

All the students and professors are very nice and friendly. Especially the 3rd term students like loosely connected family members to me. The various social events held by the program help me get to know professors and students from all backgrounds. And thus learn more knowledge that will never presented in text books or academic papers.

Q: What are your future dreams and goals?

I hope to create robots that can have positive impacts on our everyday life, robots that people can treat them as companions or even friends. The robot should be small and useful enough that people willing to carry with them every day, or at least they should be able to see their robot very often.
