Interview
Sorry, this entry is only available in 日本語.
I’ll be happy as long as I can work on what I find interesting at any given time.
Q: What was your motivation for joining the program?
I was attracted by the concept of “interdisciplinary research”. I thought it sounded cool, and was sure to be interesting. After hearing that I would have the chance to expand my horizons, and that scholarship support was available, I knew that I could only benefit from enrolling in the program.
Q: What about the program appeals to you?
Getting to know faculty members and doctoral students from other disciplines is a rare and valuable opportunity. The program offers a good environment for gaining feedback from faculty members, and for students to provide each other with stimulus.
Q: What are your future dreams and goals?
I have no concrete plans yet: my immediate objective is to earn my doctoral degree. I will be happy as long as I can work on what I find interesting at any given time, regardless of what the field is or who I am working with.
