Q　What was your motivation for joining the program, and what about the program appeals to you?

The best thing of HWIP is that we can make friends who is in different field. That is my reason why I participate in this program. We can often discuss about our own research with friends who have completely different point of view. Meanwhile, we can learn research in different field deeply and learn different ways of thinking. This must be a very good opportunity.

Q　What is your expertise and how do you want to develop it with the program?

I have learnt the bases of such mechanical engineering as fluid mechanics. I am researching about insects’ adoptive control system from the viewpoint of system engineering. Insects only have simple nervous system, but they fulfil their superb and adaptive ability and survive. I am researching their ability to make a control model of the ability. Their ability can be interpreted from various angles. Therefore, I want to combine the new interpretation with mine and discover new knowledge.

Q　What are your future dreams and goals?

All living things have strategies to survive and there are secrets of survival. My dream is to disclose the secrets.
