Q What was your motivation for joining the program, and what about the program appeals to you?
My expectation from this course is by joining this program, gain various fields of knowledge, broaden my horizon, cultivating cross field analyzing skill and more importantly to learn efficient cooperation and interaction with different fields of people.
My intention is to extend more engineering methods and computer technology in the biological field. As I’m now combining more engineering applications in various biological experiments like micro-fabrication, computer designing and simulation, 3D printing etc. Which are very useful and effective in conducting various biological experiments.
My aim is through this program to find out more common areas where engineering boosts the biological research. I’m positive that this program would be a precious opportunity for cultivating creativeness, increase interaction and enhance innovation.
Q What is your expertise and how do you want to develop it with the program?
As I join my lab with the mathematics background at first I was doing micro-engineering and micro-fabrication to supporting other researchers by types of equipment and place based on their intentions then I was able to conduct my own research project which is rotating single cell in the microchannels to observe the cell behaviour, currently my subject generating 3D model of the rotating target. I want to do more simulation with students who in information science.
Q What are your future dreams and goals?
I want to finish my doctorate. Then, after working in Japan for a period of time, go to other countries to have some experience. Basically, I still want to stay in the University and go on the academic road.
