Q What was your motivation for joining the program, and what about the program appeals to you?
Since I want to work as a researcher in the future, I decided to try my best to gain a doctor degree at the first place. Therefore, frankly speaking, it is lucrative to work for this program simultaneously. Additionally, it is necessary that I meet and cooperate with new people from both my major and other science fields, which not only helps me enlarge my personal network and widen my view, but also benefit others. What the program appeals me most is its two-eight rule. I assign only 20% of my time for the program and 80% for my own major, leading a more than 100% outcome. It is very attractive for me, a zealot of Minimalism and efficiency.
Q What is your expertise and who do you want to develop it with the program?
My research interest is high performance computing (HPC), particularly, how to exploit the computing capacity of GPUs. I want to find both more efficient methods to improve the performance of parallel programs and more cases where I can apply GPU parallel computing. Having worked as a software engineer, I always concentrate on polishing my developing and designing skills. Given that Virtual Reality (VR) shows some signs of prevailing in the future, I want to cooperate with people who show interests in VR and AR (Augument Reality).
Q What are your future dreams and goals?
Above all, I want to become an outstanding researcher in my research field, and explore the world of Science and Technology with others. Certainly, in order to live up to the purpose of this leading program, I want to build and lead my team to study and develop the state of the art technologies in the future.
