My appetite for interdisciplinary research grows when I talk with people from different fields

Q: What was your motivation for joining the program?

I am interested in the mechanisms of the brain, and think it would be interesting if we could apply those mechanisms in our everyday lives. Developing these applications will require interaction among researchers from different fields. I really wanted to participate in this program because of the opportunities it offers for such interaction.

Q: What are your future dreams and goals?

I want to gain a more systematic understanding of the relationship between perception and brain activity. I would also like use this understanding to contribute to the development of products that make our lives more comfortable.

Q: What about the program appeals to you?

The availability of financial support was extremely appealing for me, considering that I hope to concentrate fully on my studies over the next five years. In addition, I believe that the interaction with people working in other fields will inspire me to pursue interdisciplinary research and encourage me to reflect on my own expertise.
